ABOUT US
From Humble Beginnings to Masterful Creations
Jon began working in the construction industry in the early '90s, setting the foundation for Shea Building in Santa Rosa, California. Initially specializing in custom homes and track houses, Jon quickly gained recognition for his quality workmanship. Over the next 9 years, his focus shifted to high-end remodels in the bustling city of San Francisco, showcasing his versatility and natural construction skills. Because of the experience he gained during this time, he is considered an expert in complex and structural framing, which is ideal for projects of any scale or difficulty. In 2002, Jon obtained his contractor's license, marking a significant milestone in his career.
One of his unique strengths lies in his ability to collaborate seamlessly with architects and engineers. Plus pulling from his decades of experience, he brings a wealth of design ideas and elements of his own to the table, ensuring that each project is not only structurally sound but also aesthetically pleasing. His hands-on experience, coupled with a keen eye for design, allow him to provide clients with functional and affordable solutions while maintaining his commitment to being eco-friendly. It’s due to his passion for eco-conscious building, that he became a certified green builder and continues to strive for environmentally friendly practices in all he does.
For the past 17 years, Shea Building has been an integral part of Nevada County, with his workmanship contributing to many homes from North San Juan and to Cascade Shores and beyond. He has designed and built a few homes locally, including his own which he shares with his wife, kids and dog. They all proudly call Nevada County home and Jon has shown his love for the community by volunteering to build a structure for solar panels at a local school.
At Shea Building, we don't just build structures; we build lasting relationships within our community. Welcome to a world where craftsmanship and sustainability walk hand in hand.
Welcome to Shea Building.
